Last week saw the second staging of the Pre-PFM Awards Networking Evening, which again resulted in a flood of appreciative comments on a similar scale to last year’s successful inaugural event.
The evening also included the presentation of the Trust Mark certificate by Independent Awards Standards Council co-founder and chair Don Hales to PFM sales manager Kelli Anne-Horne.
Mr Hales described his reasons for co-founding the council while stating his belief of the high levels of value provided by awards schemes that focus on unbiased quality and integrity.
While praising the overall quality of information and openness of all aspects of the PFM Partnership Awards, he was particularly complimentary of the long-established judging process.
This continues to see teams of judges visiting the site of each Partnership category finalist to assess each one according to the same criteria designed to allow entrants to display the quality and effectiveness of their joint collaborative efforts.
Those present on the evening included finalists, judges and sponsors of the PFM Awards, along with industry contacts, providing an effective overview of the presentation ceremony, which will take place on 6 November at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London.
Many of the attendees had experienced considerable difficulty travelling to the Doubletree by Hilton venue in Tower Hill, London, following extreme weather conditions earlier in the day that led to extensive flooding and high levels of disruption to the travel network.
The fact that attendee numbers exceeded last year’s networking evening indicated how highly the event is valued by representatives from all areas of the FM industry.
