For the first time in its 26-year history, the PFM Partnership Awards has received official independent accreditation for the high quality of the initiative and the overall integrity of the event.
Accreditation was confirmed by the Independent Awards Standards Council, following analysis of the standard and clarity of information provided, the high standards of judging and proof that the awards are open to all those in the FM sector.
The PFM Partnership Awards application consisted of evidence of the high level of information included within this portal and was supported by the regular updates included throughout the year in all areas of the PFM brand.
During the accreditation process, the council complimented the PFM Awards on the high standards of the judging process, which has long been an essential element of the initiative.
The judging panel consists mostly of independent FMs, with all judges working on a voluntary basis and having no financial interest in the awards.
They work in teams of two and visit the site of every finalist within the Partnership categories, with all entries scored on the same basis to ensure that the best candidate received the winners’ trophy.
Proof of the independent nature of the judging process was further supported by confirmation that all judges are asked to inform PFM of any clash of interest and allow another judge to take their place in these instances.
Trust Mark accreditation is provided on an annual basis, which means that each awards initiative has to reapply for accreditation in 12 months’ time.
Having achieved the Standard level of accreditation, the PFM Partnership Awards will be able to reapply in September 2020, with the option of applying for Silver or Gold status to provide further proof of the levels of quality and integrity included.
The Trust Mark logo will appear alongside the PFM Awards logo on this website during the first week of September.
