The official launch of the PFM Awards 2020 Young Leader of the Year (YLOTY) category will take place on 9 June via a webinar scheduled to begin at 16.45 on the day.
This category is organised and judged by the Emerging Workplace Leaders (EWL) voluntary organisation and the winner will be announced at the PFM Partnership Awards 2020 presentation ceremony on 4 November.
The EWL will also organise a shortlist event in October to allow the finalists to highlight their achievements and provide thoughts on industry-related topics.
Entries to the YLOTY category can be submitted by either organisations or individuals at any time up to 24 July.
It is designed to provide recognition for young leaders in all areas of FM, celebrating their achievements and highlighting the individuals that are set to achieve further success in the future.
Entries to the PFM Awards 2020 Account Director of the Year category are also required to be submitted by 24 July.
The EWL webinar on 9 June has been organised to celebrate the many triumphs of FM and will include the thoughts of past winners on the submission process.
Comment on leadership skills and challenges will also be provided by industry figures in what the EWL has dubbed “a year of FM renaissance”.
Co-chair of the EWL committee and Churchill Services director James Bradley said: “This year is different for everyone. And for the time being the way we collaborate will be different too.
“We want to celebrate our amazing sector, who have really been tested over the last few months, by hosting an enjoyable launch event, as we have in other years.
“Thankfully, with technology, we’re able to continue on and meet virtually to hear from our past winners and also industry leaders at a time when leadership skills are so important.”
